Cheltenham racecourse is just a few minutes north of the centre of Cheltenham, and a short distance from the M5.
By CarIf travelling by road, the maps below indicate the location of course and the best routes to take. Race goers are advised to follow the recommended routes signed by the AA. Nearer the racecourse, you'll find AA signage directing you to the nearest available car park. For GPS users the postcode is GL50 4SH.
Ample car parking is available. Parking for the Festival is £10 (£8 in advance).
By AirRyanair is the official airline partner of Cheltenham racecourse and offers flights to and from three local airports for the Festival.
By BusStagecoach bus service D runs every 10 minutes during the day and between 10 minutes and every hour in the evenings from Monday to Saturday. Service 527 also provides a regular service from Cheltenham centre to Bishops Cleeve and Gotherington via the racecourse roundabout. For local Stagecoach information please contact 0870 6082608.
By TrainThe nearest train station is Cheltenham Spa - for information call 08457 484950. A bus link is provided from Cheltenham Spa Station from 2 hours before racing, returning after racing.
Special raceday steam trains, run by The Gloucester Warwickshire Railway, bring racegoers to the Cheltenham Racecourse station in style - using it for the purpose it was originally built when the racecourse was completed in 1912. By BicycleThere are 52 secure bicycle parks next to The Centaur and Best Mate enclosure entrances. The racecourse is currently creating cycle paths for safer and easier access for cyclists.
Travel InformationTravel Information Boards are provided at the three main entrances at the racecourse offering up-to-date bus and train timetables, cycle routes and car sharing and walking options.
