Despite threatening a late switch, Gordon Elliott decided to keep Envoi Allen in the Ballymore over the weekend. He’s shortened at the head of the betting since the Cheltenham day two decs were released and Envoi Allen is bound to feature in many free bet offers for the Festival.

Quotes from Nicky Henderson’s stable tour confirmed Champ was no worse for wear from his fall in the Dipper, and he looks set to carry the tag of favouritism into the RSA. Copperhead has burst onto the scene in some style this season, and last year’s winning rider, Harry Cobden will guide Colin Tizzard’s charge into his first Grade One.
